Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Telecom Expense Management Analyst with strong expertise in data analytics, financial analysis, and telecom expense optimization. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing telecom costs, auditing invoices, managing large datasets, and identifying cost-saving opportunities across telecom services.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze large telecom datasets using Tableau, Excel, and Power BI
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reports
Telecom Expense Management:
- Manage telecom expenses including wireless, voice, and data services
- Audit carrier invoices (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint)
- Identify billing discrepancies, overcharges, and unused services
- Process zero-usage and cost optimization reports
Financial Analysis:
- Perform budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking
- Analyze vendor payments and contract utilization
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes
- Monitor and resolve budget variances
Process Optimization:
- Establish and optimize telecom expense management processes
- Recommend automation and efficiency improvements
- Track and report project financial performance
Tools & Systems:
- Work with ServiceNow and PeopleSoft for reporting and data tracking
- Use SQL (good to have) for data analysis
- Handle large datasets using Excel and database tools
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate insights and findings to leadership
- Collaborate with operations and IT teams
- Gather business requirements and support decision-making
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Telecom Expense Management (TEM)
- Hands-on experience with Tableau (must-have)
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, large datasets)
- Strong financial and invoice analysis skills
- Experience with ServiceNow and PeopleSoft
- Ability to analyze large datasets and generate insights
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Power BI dashboards
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Experience with automation or AI tools
Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis / Telecom Expense / Financial Analysis
- Strong telecom domain experience (must-have)
- Detail-oriented with ability to handle large data volumes
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
