Job Description: Manhattan WMS Solution Architect
We are seeking an experienced Manhattan WMS Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions, with a primary focus on Manhattan WMS (MAWM). This role is responsible for the end-to-end WMS architecture, configuration, and solution design, integrating with SAP ERP as a key touchpoint.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Manhattan WMS expert with a proven track record of successfully integrating MAWM with SAP and leading complex warehouse implementations across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manhattan WMS Architecture & Solution Design (Primary Focus):
- Act as the solution owner and subject matter expert for Manhattan Associates WMS (MAWM) across all warehouse operations.
- Design comprehensive end-to-end WMS solutions encompassing receiving, putaway, slotting, picking, packing, waving, shipping, labor management, and optimization.
- Define WMS functional and technical architecture that aligns with operational requirements and performance expectations.
- Lead multi-site WMS implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Integration Design & Governance (SAP as Integrated System):
- Own the design and governance of Manhattan WMS integrations, including seamless integration with SAP ERP.
- Define and oversee integration flows for inventory updates, stock synchronization, inbound and outbound order processing, ASN, BOL, shipment confirmations, and material master, batch, serial, and handling unit data.
- Guide the implementation of integration patterns using IDoc, API, EDI, MQ, and automation/MHE interfaces.
- Ensure accurate, near real-time data exchange between Manhattan WMS, SAP ERP, TMS, automation systems, and external partners.
- Technical Leadership & Best Practices:
- Establish WMS-centric architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Provide hands-on guidance to functional, technical, and integration teams on MAWM capabilities and constraints.
- Collaborate effectively with SAP, automation, and infrastructure teams while maintaining ownership of the Manhattan WMS solution.
- Troubleshoot complex WMS and integration issues, driving root cause analysis and resolution.
Required Qualifications:
- Core Requirements (Must Have):
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Manhattan Associates WMS (MAWM) configuration, design, and architecture.
- Proven experience integrating Manhattan WMS with SAP ERP (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
- Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution operations.
- Experience leading architecture for multi-site WMS implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to act as the primary WMS authority in cross-functional environments.
This is a 100% remote role, with a preference for candidates based in Lisle, IL. The contract duration is 12 months, with two virtual interviews scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

2 interviews (virtual), Thursday and Friday. Must have Manhattan WMS (MAWM) expertise.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
