Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with extensive experience in Capital Markets and Data Quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, deep domain expertise in financial services, and excellent communication abilities. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience, with a mandatory focus on Capital Markets/Trading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to capital markets and data quality.
- Develop and maintain data models and reporting dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data across various platforms.
- Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable recommendations.
- Utilize SQL and data management tools to extract, transform, and load data.
- Monitor the trade lifecycle and identify areas for data quality improvement.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work with data management tools such as Alation, Collibra, or Informatica.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years as a Data Analyst specifically within Financial Services.
- Domain Expertise: Mandatory recent experience in Capital Markets/Trading (Retail or Commercial Banking backgrounds will not be considered).
- Technical Stack: Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data management tools (Alation, Collibra, or Informatica).
- Instrument Knowledge: Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle and financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives).
- Communication: Elite verbal and written communication skills are required for high-stakes stakeholder interaction.
- Visa: Must be eligible to work on TN or H4-EAD visas.
- Location: Must be local to NYC for hybrid work (3 days onsite).
