Job Description: AWS Data Engineer
We are seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure on the AWS platform. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-native data services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Implement data ingestion frameworks to pull data from diverse sources including APIs, databases, and streaming platforms.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all data pipelines and storage solutions.
- Build and optimize data lakes and data warehouses leveraging services like Amazon S3, Redshift, Athena, and Lake Formation.
- Collaborate effectively with data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and accessible datasets.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.
- Stay updated with emerging AWS technologies and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to our data architecture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with core AWS cloud services including S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Athena, SNS, and SQS.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data manipulation and pipeline development.
- Solid knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning techniques for large datasets.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. This role is primarily focused on AWS technologies, and local candidates with strong AWS experience are preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
