Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Kafka Admin with a strong background in financial domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing Kafka-based data pipelines, working with other big data technologies, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our Kafka infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and managing Kafka-based data pipelines.
- Working with other big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Storm.
- Monitoring and optimizing Kafka clusters.
- Troubleshooting Kafka related issues.
- Performing 3rd level administrator support for Kafka infrastructure.
- Maintaining the availability, performance, and security of Kafka infrastructure.
- Creating and managing Kafka topics, producers, and consumers.
- Developing Python-based Kafka consumers and producers to enable efficient data processing with other systems.
- Handling customer queries and support.
- Ensuring support availability during agreed business hours.
- Ensuring 24/7 support availability during rotational service guard periods.
- Developing and maintaining automation for Kafka infrastructure.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4-7 years of hands-on Kafka Admin experience.
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Storm.
- Proficiency in monitoring and optimizing Kafka clusters.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Kafka-related issues.
- Experience in performing 3rd level administrator support.
- Knowledge of creating and managing Kafka topics, producers, and consumers.
- Experience with Python for developing Kafka consumers and producers.
- Experience in handling customer queries and support.
- Ability to ensure support availability during business hours and rotational service guard periods.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automation for Kafka infrastructure.
- Banking experience is a plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
