Job Description: Senior Dynatrace Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dynatrace Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our application performance monitoring (APM) solutions, primarily focusing on Dynatrace. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure, systems engineering, and APM tools to ensure the stability, performance, and availability of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Dynatrace or similar APM tools across various environments.
  • Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Develop and implement custom dashboards, alerts, and reports within Dynatrace to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to integrate Dynatrace into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
  • Analyze performance data to recommend optimizations for application and infrastructure improvements.
  • Provide expert-level support for Dynatrace-related incidents and escalations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest features and best practices of Dynatrace and APM technologies.
  • Document monitoring configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members on Dynatrace usage and APM principles.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or dedicated monitoring roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or comparable APM tools (e.g., AppDynamics, New Relic).
  • Proficiency in monitoring Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Bash is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments, including monitoring strategies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience working within regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
  • Proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)

Location: ATLANTA, GA
