Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solution & Functional Architect (SAFA) with strong consulting leadership skills and deep expertise in retail/CPG transformation. The ideal candidate can translate business outcomes into structured transformation roadmaps, own solution architecture across data and AI, govern delivery across multi vendor ecosystems, and drive value realization and organizational change. TOSCA experience is mandatory and candidates will be assessed on hands on capabilities.
Key Competencies & Responsibilities
- 1. Consulting Leadership
- Serve as the primary consulting lead for transformation initiatives.
- Translate business goals into a sequenced transformation roadmap covering assortment, inventory, forecasting, pricing signals, and replenishment adjacencies.
- Advise senior leadership on operating models, capability maturity, dependencies, and risks.
- 2. Solution Architecture (End to End)
- Own architectural design across process, data, analytics/ML, applications, and integrations.
- Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards, scalability, and future capability expansion.
- Lead architecture deep dives, solution walkthroughs, and sign offs across cross functional teams.
- 3. AI/LLM Enablement
- Define AI/LLM use cases with value articulation and evaluation metrics.
- Establish human in the loop frameworks, model explainability standards, and productionization patterns.
- Partner with data science teams to shape ML workflows, pipelines, and governance models.
- 4. Value Realization & Business Outcomes
- Build financial business cases, define KPIs/OKRs, and establish value tracking frameworks.
- Publish monthly value dashboards to leadership showcasing benefits, progress, and adoption KPIs.
- Partner with finance, operations, and product teams to validate realized value.
- 5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the Single Point of Accountability (SPA) for GPC leadership.
- Coordinate with internal teams, boutique consulting partners, and product vendors.
- Manage multi vendor dependencies and ensure aligned execution across nearshore/offshore teams.
- 6. Delivery Governance
- Lead delivery governance including POD rituals, sprint planning, and QA checkpoints.
- Drive risk, issue, and dependency management across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure adherence to release planning, change management, and quality standards.
- 7. Change Enablement & Adoption
- Develop change enablement strategy including playbooks, training, comms, and impact assessments.
- Drive adoption across Merchandising, Assortment, and Supply Chain operations.
- Work with business SMEs to ensure readiness, capability uplift, and process transformation.
Preferred Skills & Domain Experience
- Retail/CPG experience: Merchandising, clustering, space/planogram awareness, pricing & promo signals.
- Exposure to: Vertex, IBM SPSS legacy transitions, and custom product platforms (e.g., PULSE). Multi vendor ecosystem orchestration (global delivery, nearshore/offshore).
- Certifications (preferred but not mandatory): CSCP/CPIM (ASCM), PMP/Prince2, TOGAF, SAFe.
- Cloud & Technology Familiarity (nice-to-have): Azure/AWS/GCP, Databricks/Snowflake, MLflow, Feature Stores, API Gateways.
- Analytics & Monitoring Tools: Power BI/Tableau, A/B testing frameworks, observability tools (logs/metrics/traces).
Mandatory Requirement
- TOSCA Hands-on Experience (Required): Candidates must demonstrate strong practical experience with TOSCA, including test case design, automation frameworks, and enterprise-scale test strategy implementation.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
