Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Opentext Developer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and troubleshooting Opentext/Documentum applications, with a strong focus on Java/Python programming and AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Documentum expertise, API development, and software development best practices. This is a hybrid role, with the option to work from Reston, VA or Plano, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentum Expertise: Design, develop, and troubleshoot Documentum applications including Content Server, D2 Config, D2 Classic, D2 Smart View, Brava, CTS, xPlore, and DFC Client.
- API Development: Implement REST APIs using Spring Framework, preferably for Documentum or similar ECM platforms.
- Programming & Tools: Utilize Java and Python for development. Proficient in tools and frameworks such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, IntelliJ, Tomcat/J2EE, and relational databases.
- Software Development Practices: Familiarity with unit testing, code coverage, deployment processes, vulnerability management, and system monitoring.
- Cloud Experience (AWS): Work with AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, ALB, SSM, SQS, SNS, Lambda, and AWS SDK. Troubleshoot AWS deployments, review configurations, security policies, and analyze logs.
- Agile Methodology: Participate in Agile Scrum practices such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Self-Management: Manage time, tasks, and priorities independently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and troubleshooting Documentum applications.
- Strong understanding of Documentum architecture, object model, and security.
- 2+ years of experience implementing REST APIs using Spring Framework.
- 5+ years of experience with Java and Python.
- Proficient in Git, Jenkins, Jira, IntelliJ, Tomcat/J2EE, and relational databases.
- 3+ years of experience working with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, ALB, SSM, SQS, SNS, Lambda, AWS SDK).
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred certifications include AWS, Documentum, and Java.
