Job Description:
Design and develop test cases/scenarios for all types of testing (usability, regression, functional, integration, performance, UAT, and unit). Support the Test Lead in authoring test plans. Analyze business requirements and engage Test Lead and project team on issues that may impact designing a testable solution. Conduct test execution and prepare reports on test progress and regression. Raise issues, risks, and dependencies and identify assumptions. Defect and issue identification, logging, tracking, resolution, and reporting. Execute manual test cases and develop/initiate automated test scripts, creating and managing any resulting defects.
Project Description:
The IT Business Systems Delivery (BSD) Customer Engagement department supports, manages, and implements a portfolio of IT system capital initiatives with Customer Operations, Energy Management, and Energy Efficiency business partners. This IT team supports each initiative from conception to implementation and provides IT support required to enhance existing systems, create/enhance interfaces, and design, develop, test, and implement new applications. The Customer Engagement Capital Portfolio Team is seeking a Test Lead with strong communication skills to foster relationships, coordinate project operations, and drive excellence.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Drive testing efforts and participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Verify the quality of requirements, including testability, requirements definition, test design, test-script and test-data development, test automation, test-environment configuration, test-script configuration management, and test execution.
- Lead test planning, including development of testing goals and strategy.
- Educate customers and project team about User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide training and mentoring to the Test Team.
- Interact with test-tool vendors to identify best ways to leverage tools.
- Stay current on latest test approaches/tools and transfer knowledge to the team.
- Review and validate test results and defect reports.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders throughout the testing process.
- Create summary reports and communicate defect metrics daily/weekly.
- Schedule and lead defect meetings with stakeholders.
- Manage triage process for defects, including assignments and resolution coordination.
- Coordinate with Development Leads and Testers on defect fix/retesting estimates.
- Maintain the Test Traceability Matrix.
- Coordinate Intake/Close-out Process (e.g., Lessons Learned) for all projects, securing stakeholder sign-off and ensuring documentation completeness.
- Collaborate with Project Manager/Lead regarding Integrated Change Control Process for change requests during testing.
Special Requirements
Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week), Local candidates only, Video followed by in-person interview, GC/USC/GC EAD/H4 EAD (must be local), Agile project atmosphere, Azure DevOps Test Plans.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year
