Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented Backend AI Architect to design and implement cutting-edge AI solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in backend architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and generative AI technologies. This role involves architecting scalable and resilient AI systems, focusing on LLMs, prompt engineering, and cloud-native practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust backend architectures for AI-driven applications, including microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop and deploy AI models, focusing on LLMs, Generative AI, and prompt engineering.
- Architect solutions for AI inference, including routing, batching, caching, and cost optimization.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI Agent patterns.
- Leverage cloud platforms (AWS preferred) for building and deploying AI solutions.
- Ensure system scalability, fault tolerance, and resilience.
- Work with technologies such as Kafka, Redis, SQL/NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver AI features.
- Maintain a strong understanding of security, observability, and reliability engineering best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong expertise in backend architecture: Microservices, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js, Java/Kotlin, Python, .NET, or Go.
- Deep understanding of system design: scalability, caching, fault tolerance, and resilience patterns.
- Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, and AI evaluation techniques.
- Knowledge of RAG, AI Agents, and inference architecture (routing, batching, caching, cost optimization).
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable).
- Strong background in API design, service mesh, and platform engineering.
- Experience with Kafka, Redis, SQL/NoSQL databases.
- CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
- Solid understanding of security, observability, and reliability engineering.
Additional Information:
This is a contract position with a pay rate of $55-$60 per hour (C2C). We accept all Visas & EADs (CPT, etc.).
