Job Overview:
AdventaTech is seeking an experienced Android Tech Lead for a hybrid role in Miami, FL. This position requires candidates to be onsite from day one if they relocate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading offshore teams in software design, prototyping, and development of Android applications, with a specific emphasis on React Native and Brownfield development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead offshore teams in the software design, prototype, and development of Android applications.
- Ensure the development of complex, high-quality Android applications.
- Apply strong knowledge of Android app design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Utilize proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and the Android development ecosystem.
- Implement robust knowledge of Java, RxJava, RxBinding, Dependency Injection, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
- Leverage experience with Android frameworks/tools such as Dagger 2 and Picasso.
- Communicate complex technical problems effectively to both technical and business audiences.
- Integrate mobile clients with microservices (REST based APIs).
- Work with distributed systems.
- Understand and apply Brownfield development principles (modifying or upgrading existing systems).
- Work independently and be familiar with engineering concepts.
- Possess active LinkedIn profile with good connections.
Technical Requirements:
- 7-10+ years of experience building complex, high-quality Android applications.
- Strong knowledge of Android app design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Strong proficiency with Java, Kotlin, and the Android development ecosystem.
- Robust knowledge of Java, RxJava, RxBinding, Dependency Injection, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
- Experience with Android frameworks/tools such as Dagger 2, Picasso.
- Experience integrating mobile clients with microservices (REST based APIs).
- Experience working with distributed systems.
- Experience with React Native is a must.
- Understanding of Brownfield development.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to lead offshore teams.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Well-rounded senior engineer.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)
