Role Overview
Quantum World IT is seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer for an onsite position in Indianapolis, IN. This role focuses on the development and optimization of data ingestion pipelines using core AWS services. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in cloud computing and data engineering, specifically within the Amazon Web Services ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust data ingestion pipelines using AWS Lambda and AWS Glue.
- Implement complex data transformation logic using Python and PySpark.
- Optimize SQL queries for data extraction and processing within cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data services.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing AWS-based data workflows to ensure high availability and performance.
- Document technical specifications and architectural designs for data solutions.
Required Technical Skills
- Extensive experience with AWS services, specifically Lambda and Glue.
- Proficiency in Python programming for data engineering tasks.
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
- Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing principles and AWS architecture.
Professional Requirements
- 4-6 years of professional experience in IT and cloud computing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven ability to work in an onsite environment in Indianapolis.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
