Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure DataBricks Lead Engineer to join our team. This is an onsite position located in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure DataBricks, data engineering, and leading complex data projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of data solutions using Azure DataBricks.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Azure and data engineering.
- Contribute to the overall data strategy and architecture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Azure DataBricks Lead Engineer or similar role.
- Extensive experience with Azure services, particularly Azure DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Scala for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience in designing and building scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience with data modeling and database design.
- Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
