Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile professional to join our team in Philadelphia as a Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Analyst. This dual-role position is critical for the successful delivery of our enterprise applications, requiring a unique blend of analytical prowess and meticulous testing capabilities. The successful candidate will be the bridge between business stakeholders and technical execution, ensuring that every software solution not only meets business requirements but also adheres to the highest standards of quality and performance. This role is strictly onsite in Philadelphia, and candidates must already reside in the local area as no relocation assistance is provided.

Key Responsibilities: Business Analysis

  • Facilitate and lead requirement gathering sessions with diverse stakeholders to understand complex business processes and organizational needs.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications, data requirement documents, and actionable user stories.
  • Develop comprehensive workflow diagrams, process maps, and data flow visualizations to communicate system logic to technical teams.
  • Utilize tools like Visio and Balsamiq to create wireframes and prototypes that guide the development process.
  • Act as a primary liaison between business units and the IT department, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for enhancement through new application features or system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional requirements.
  • Perform rigorous functional testing, regression testing, and integration testing to identify and document software defects.
  • Manage the end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, including coordinating with business users and documenting feedback.
  • Utilize JIRA and GitLab for defect tracking, version control, and project management.
  • Provide critical post-deployment support on-site to ensure smooth transitions and immediate resolution of any production issues.
  • Convert complex business requirements into detailed test scenarios to ensure 100% coverage of functional logic.

Technical Environment

  • Expertise in SharePoint Online and the broader Office 365 ecosystem for document management and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams for real-time communication and project coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with Git repositories (GitLab) and Agile management tools (JIRA) for tracking development progress.
  • Advanced skills in documentation and design tools such as Visio for process mapping and Balsamiq for UI wireframing.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience working on complex projects with demanding timelines and varying team sizes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, managing projects from inception through to final delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Must currently reside in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area; no relocation assistance is provided for this role.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure while communicating clearly with stakeholders, developers, and testers under pressure.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $95,000 – $138,000 per year (Estimated)
