Role Overview

iTech US, Inc is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Business System Analyst with a specialized focus on the Finance and Banking domain. This long-term contract position is designed for a professional who can navigate the complexities of modern financial systems and drive transformation at the intersection of business operations, risk management, and technological innovation. With a requirement for 9 years of experience, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of banking infrastructure. This role is strictly onsite and is available in three key financial hubs: Jersey City, NJ; Dallas, TX; and Tampa, FL. We are prioritizing local candidates who can contribute to the team’s collaborative environment immediately.

Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact

  • Requirements Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end requirements elicitation process. This involves conducting workshops with stakeholders, performing gap analysis, and translating complex business needs into comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).
  • Agile Documentation: Develop high-quality user stories accompanied by precise Gherkin acceptance criteria. This ensures that development teams have a clear, testable roadmap for implementation, reducing ambiguity and rework.
  • Process Modeling: Utilize BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to create sophisticated workflows. These models are essential for visualizing current-state processes and designing optimized future-state architectures that align with strategic business goals.
  • Data Analysis and Integrity: Leverage advanced SQL skills to perform data profiling and reconciliation across diverse database environments including IBM DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL Server. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity within DWH, ETL, and ELT pipelines, which is critical for accurate financial reporting.
  • API Integration and Testing: Take a hands-on approach to API validation using Postman. This includes verifying schema compliance, managing complex authentication flows such as OAuth2, and conducting rigorous testing for error handling and edge cases to ensure robust system integrations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Navigate the stringent regulatory landscape of the banking industry. You will ensure that all system designs and business processes comply with mandates such as AML/KYC, ISO 20022, OFAC, SOX, GLBA, HMDA, and GDPR.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams. Your ability to communicate technical constraints to business leaders and business requirements to developers is crucial for project success.

Technical Proficiency and Toolset

  • Project Management Tools: Expert-level use of JIRA, Azure DevOps, Rally, and Confluence for tracking progress and maintaining documentation.
  • Visualization Tools: Proficiency in Visio, Lucid Chart, and Balsamiq for creating wireframes and architectural diagrams.
  • Methodological Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe), Waterfall, and Kanban, as well as development approaches like BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and TDD (Test Driven Development).
  • Data Technologies: Experience with PostgreSQL, Informatica, MongoDB, and modern cloud data stacks like Snowflake and AWS.
  • Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with C, Python, Java, Angular, and Unix scripting to better understand the technical environment and assist in troubleshooting.
  • Business Intelligence: Ability to interpret and present data using Power BI, Tableau, and Crystal Reports.
  • Security and Network Tools: Basic knowledge of Wireshark, Nessus, and NMap to support security-focused requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in a Business System Analyst role, specifically within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
  • Proven experience in driving large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional documentation skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with CRM and Ticketing tools like ServiceNow and Salesforce is highly preferred.
  • Must be an H1B visa holder as per the specific client requirements for this role.
