Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled BPM Camunda Subject Matter Expert to lead, design, and implement business process automation solutions using the Camunda BPM platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of BPMN 2.0 standards, workflow orchestration, and hands-on experience with Camunda’s suite of tools. You will play a critical role in modernizing and automating key business processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of business process automation solutions using Camunda.
- Develop and implement complex workflows and business rules within the Camunda platform.
- Integrate Camunda with other enterprise systems and applications.
- Configure and customize Camunda components to meet specific business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to BPMN 2.0 standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Camunda deployments and processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and automation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in BPM and Camunda technology.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a BPM Camunda Subject Matter Expert or Senior Developer.
- Deep understanding of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) 2.0.
- Hands-on experience with the Camunda BPM platform, including Camunda Modeler, Engine, and Tasklist.
- Strong knowledge of workflow orchestration and business rules management.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex business processes.
- Proficiency in Java and/or other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Preferred Domain Experience:
- P&C insurance domain experience is preferred.
- Finance domain experience will also be considered.
Work Arrangement:
- This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite in Warren, NJ.
- Local resources are preferred.
- The position is a contract role.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
