Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to join our premier banking client in New York City. This is a critical role requiring a minimum of 10 years of enterprise-level experience in data architecture, modeling, and performance engineering. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of robust data solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across the organization’s data landscape. This position requires a hybrid work schedule with three days per week onsite in NYC.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain comprehensive enterprise data models that support complex banking operations and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Lead data transformation initiatives using advanced ETL tools such as Informatica and Talend to streamline data pipelines.
- Architect and optimize data storage solutions across diverse platforms including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake.
- Develop and implement data archival strategies and performance engineering protocols to ensure system efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical data architectures.
- Create sophisticated data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI to provide actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries and Unix Shell scripts for complex data processing tasks.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior data engineers and developers, fostering a culture of excellence.
Technical Requirements
- 10+ years of proven experience in Enterprise Data Architecture and Data Modeling.
- Expertise in ETL/ELT tools: Informatica or Talend.
- Deep knowledge of Database Systems: PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake.
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools: Power BI.
- Advanced skills in SQL and Unix Shell Scripting.
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain is highly preferred.
- Exposure to Python, Databricks, and SPARK is a significant advantage.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
