Position Summary
Tanisha Systems Inc is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Platforms team for a long-term contract engagement in Phoenix, AZ. This role is focused on building and optimizing large-scale data architectures on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development and ETL orchestration, specifically using Apache Airflow. You will be working with one of our esteemed clients in the financial services sector, contributing to the evolution of their data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Build and optimize complex ETL/ELT workflows to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and manage sophisticated orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow.
- Implement and manage data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance through rigorous testing and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business analysts, to understand data requirements.
- Coordinate with offshore resources to ensure seamless project delivery and 24/7 support coverage.
- Drive project deliverables with minimal supervision, taking ownership of the end-to-end data lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Python for data processing and automation.
- Extensive experience in ETL development and data warehousing concepts.
- Solid expertise in Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Proven experience working within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
- Ability to manage and deliver complex projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the flexibility to work effectively with global offshore teams.
- Experience in the financial services industry, specifically with AMEX systems or processes, is highly preferred.
Project Context
This 12+ month contract offers the opportunity to work on high-impact data platform initiatives in Phoenix, Arizona. The project involves modernizing legacy data workflows and migrating them to a cloud-native architecture. Candidates must be prepared to provide their Passport (PP) Number at the time of submission as part of the client’s compliance and screening process. This is an onsite role requiring physical presence at the client’s Phoenix facility.
Special Requirements
Need Passport Number at the time of submission. AMEX experience highly preferred. Duration: 12+ Months.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
