Role Overview: Data Modeler

We are seeking a seasoned Data Modeler for a hybrid position based in Downtown Philadelphia, PA. This role is critical for our data architecture team as we continue to scale our data infrastructure in 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex data models that support our enterprise-wide analytics and business intelligence platforms. This position is open to Green Card (GC) and US Citizen (USC) candidates only and is available on a C2C, W2, or 1099 basis.

Core Responsibilities and Data Strategy

  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support various business initiatives.
  • Utilize Erwin Data Modeler extensively for diagraming, complete compare, and both reverse and forward engineering tasks.
  • Write and optimize advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from diverse sources.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders to elicit and decompose complex business requirements into technical data designs.
  • Estimate the scope of effort for data modeling projects and prioritize requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide multiple options for data-driven solution designs, weighing the pros and cons of different architectural approaches.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all data models and database environments.
  • Support the evolution of our data lake and data warehouse architectures to meet the demands of 2026’s AI-driven analytics.

Technical Requirements and Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in professional Data Modeling.
  • At least 5 years of experience with advanced SQL query techniques and performance tuning.
  • High level of proficiency in Erwin Data Modeler is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work simultaneously in multiple environments with differing procedures and levels of accountability.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and master data management (MDM).
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or Azure Synapse) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $138,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)
