Job Summary:
The Guidewire Portal Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customer-facing digital portals for Policy, Billing, and Claims using the Guidewire Digital EDGE framework. This includes working with Jutro, Guidewire Portal UI (React/Angular), and RESTful integrations. The role involves close collaboration with business analysts, architects, backend PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter teams, and QA to deliver seamless, omnichannel experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portal Development & Customization: Develop and customize Guidewire Digital Portals (Producer, Engage Customer, Engage Vendor, etc.). Build UI components using Jutro/EDGE framework, React.js or Angular, and HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/TypeScript. Implement business logic using Gosu, Java, and API integration layers.
- Integration: Integrate Guidewire Portals with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and external services/third-party APIs. Build and consume REST APIs and JSON services.
- Architecture & Framework: Work with solution architects to design scalable portal architectures. Customize Guidewire Digital UX templates and UI themes. Ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices and coding standards.
- Testing & Quality: Troubleshoot performance issues in portal UI and API calls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business/product teams for requirement translation. Collaborate with backend Guidewire developers for PCBCCC logic. Work with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines.
Technical Skills Required:
- Guidewire Skills: Guidewire Digital Portal (CustomerEngage, ProducerEngage, VendorEngage), EdgePortal Framework, Jutro (preferred for newer versions), experience with PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter integration. Gosu language knowledge is a plus.
- Frontend Skills: React.js or Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Responsive design frameworks (Bootstrap, Material UI).
- Backend Integration: REST API development/integration, JSON/XML. Java and Spring Boot are nice to have.
- Tools & DevOps: Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence. AWS/Azure knowledge is an added advantage.
Education & Certifications:
- Guidewire Certification in Digital Portal (Jutro preferred).
- UI/Frontend certifications (React/Angular) are an added advantage.
