Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM Sterling Commerce OMS Solution Architect for a long-term, onsite engagement in Atlanta, GA. This critical role involves leading the architectural design and implementation of complex order management solutions for major retail clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of IT experience, with at least 10 years specifically focused on IBM Sterling OMS architecture and large-scale implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture Design: Define end-to-end OMS architecture leveraging IBM Sterling modules such as Distributed Order Management (DOM), SIP, Logistics Management, Supplier Collaboration, and Reverse Logistics.
- Integration Strategy: Design and lead integration strategies with ERP, WMS, CRM, e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and logistics providers.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor and manage OMS development teams, fostering technical excellence and adhering to best practices in coding and system design.
- Implementation & Customization: Lead the implementation and customization of IBM OMS pipelines, participant models, inventory routing, and payment processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT leadership to align technical architecture with strategic business goals.
- Governance: Oversee system scalability, security, compliance, and performance tuning while governing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Technical Requirements
- Deep expertise in IBM OMS (including containerized and cloud versions), Java, Angular, XML, XSLT, and REST/SOAP web services.
- Proven track record of multiple IBM OMS implementations for large-scale retailers.
- Experience with Nextgen OMoC 2.0 and customization of next-gen call center and store order management modules.
- Strong understanding of Sales Order, Procurement Order, Purchase, and Transfer Order flows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as Kafka, MQ, and ELK.

The successful candidate must be an effective communicator capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. This role operates within an Onsite-Offshore model, requiring flexibility with timings to coordinate effectively with Indian delivery teams. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a detail-oriented approach are essential for success in this high-impact position.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year
