- Execute the seamless migration of existing event filters, complex automations, and established runbook policies into the AIOps platform to ensure operational continuity.
- Establish and maintain robust bidirectional synchronization of event data between legacy Netcool components and Cloud Pak for AIOps.
- Configure sophisticated event and alert data mapping using transformation rules such as JSONata to ensure consistent data processing across hybrid environments.
- Develop and refine automation policies and runbooks utilizing Netcool/Impact, complemented by Python or Bash scripting for advanced logic.
- Support the AIOps platform by validating high-quality data streams for Machine Learning models, focusing on event grouping, log anomaly detection, and change risk assessment.
- Leverage Cloud Pak for AIOps topology and resource management features to construct application-centric infrastructure views for enhanced visibility.
- Collaborate extensively with DevOps, SRE, and IT Operations teams to integrate third-party ecosystem tools including Splunk, ServiceNow, and Slack.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hybrid-cloud integration issues, ensuring high availability of the monitoring stack.
Required Technical Expertise
- Deep subject matter expertise in the full IBM Netcool suite: OMNIbus, Impact, Probes, Gateways, and Web GUI.
- Proven experience with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps deployment and configuration.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and JavaScript (JSONata).
