Overview of the Remote Informatica Developer / PIM Implementation Specialist Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly experienced Informatica Developer and PIM Implementation Specialist to join Staffbees for a 100% remote, C2C contract position. We are seeking a seasoned professional with over 10 years of industry experience, particularly strong in Product Information Management (PIM) platforms, to lead critical implementation and customization initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Akeneo PIM and a comprehensive understanding of various other PIM solutions.
Key Responsibilities and Impact
- Lead the end-to-end configuration, customization, and successful implementation of PIM platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices.
- Act as the primary Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the PIM platform, providing guidance, support, and strategic insights to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Design robust data models and architect seamless API integrations between the PIM system and other enterprise applications, ensuring data consistency and flow.
- Develop and drive the PIM roadmap initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhancement, optimization, and expansion of PIM capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, eCommerce, and other cross-functional teams to understand their needs, translate them into technical requirements, and deliver solutions that enhance product data management and online presence.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Perform thorough testing and quality assurance for all PIM configurations and integrations to ensure high performance, reliability, and data accuracy.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in PIM and product data management to continuously improve the platform and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to PIM functionality, data integrity, and system integrations.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Mandatory and Preferred Skills
- Mandatory: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with the Akeneo PIM Platform is essential.
- Mandatory: At least 1 year of recent, direct hands-on experience specifically with Akeneo.
- Preferred: Experience with other leading PIM platforms such as Informatica PIM, Salsify, Pimcore, Contentserv, Oracle Product Hub, Stibo STEP, and Riversand will be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management (MDM) principles.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and other integration technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
Experience and Opportunity Details
This role requires a minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience, with a significant portion dedicated to PIM development and implementation.
