Role Overview: Instructional Designer / Technical Training Specialist
We are urgently hiring an Instructional Designer or Technical Training Specialist for a remote contract position. This role focuses on the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training programs specifically tailored for PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 ERP systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality, accessibility-compliant training content that meets the needs of diverse financial business areas. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency in ERP systems and pedagogical expertise in adult learning principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Design & Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to specific financial business areas within PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2. Develop accessibility-compliant, role-based training content from the ground up. Create instructor materials including course outlines, instructional guides, job aids, exercises, and multimedia content. Write and maintain technical training documentation and user guides.
- Training Delivery: Deliver onsite, virtual, and web-based training sessions for trainers and end users. Conduct short technical courses to maintain proficiency and evaluate new instructional techniques. Apply adult learning principles and alternative teaching methods to maintain engagement. Incorporate new curriculum updates and clarifications into training delivery.
- Technical & System Support: Participate in system design discussions and testing activities to ensure training accuracy. Assist in designing computer-based and multimedia curriculum. Support desktop processes such as Remote Access Systems (RAS) and related procedures. Manage and update the training SharePoint site for content accessibility and version control.
- Program Management & Collaboration: Determine training needs and develop plans to meet customer requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile, iterative environment. Research and recommend training vendors, tools, and delivery methods. Maintain training program compliance with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Accessibility & Customer Support: Apply EIR accessibility standards and assistive technology considerations in training content. Communicate effectively with customers requiring special assistance.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8 years of experience developing training programs for ERP systems.
- 8 years of experience developing accessibility-compliant training content.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience working with eLearning software.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 ERP systems.
- At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- At least 2 years of experience with MS Teams and Channel communication with large teams.
- At least 2 years of experience in maintaining and updating SharePoint sites.
- Preferred: Experience working with public sector organizations (Federal, State, or Local Government).
- Preferred: Experience with Jira.

Special Requirements
Remote. Rate is $55/hr on C2C Max. Must participate in pre-employment security review processes.
