Role Overview
The iOS Mobile Engineer position at Eminence Technology Solutions is a prestigious role designed for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 14 years of experience in the mobile development space. This role is specifically focused on the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, a sector that is undergoing a massive digital overhaul in 2026. The Mobile Engineer is responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, and deployment of mobile applications based on IT requirements. The mobile engineer will work with members of the engineering and product teams to implement new features, update the existing mobile application stack, and assist with mobile architecture and user experience.
Strategic Role and Vision
- Lead the development of next-generation iOS applications for the P&C insurance market.
- Collaborate with product managers to translate complex insurance workflows into intuitive mobile experiences.
- Drive the adoption of modern architectural patterns and coding standards across the mobile team.
- Ensure the highest levels of security and data privacy for policyholder information.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers in their professional development.
Technical Requirements and Expertise
The ideal candidate will have a deep-seated understanding of the iOS ecosystem, from the low-level nuances of memory management to the high-level implementation of SwiftUI and Combine. With 14+ years of experience, you have witnessed the evolution of mobile technology from its infancy to the sophisticated, AI-driven platforms of today. You are expected to be an expert in Swift, with a strong legacy knowledge of Objective-C. Your experience should include the integration of mobile apps with complex enterprise backends, utilizing RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets. Hands-on experience integrating iOS applications into backend services is required. Strong knowledge of iOS best practices, principles, and patterns is essential for making critical architectural decisions.
Industry-Specific Challenges
The P&C insurance industry presents unique challenges, including the need for offline data synchronization for field adjusters, the integration of high-resolution imaging for claims documentation, and the implementation of real-time communication tools like Cisco Webex. You will be responsible for ensuring that our mobile solutions meet the rigorous regulatory requirements of the insurance industry across multiple states. This includes adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG) and ensuring that the app performs reliably under various network conditions. Review new/existing technology and build out services and/or implementations for mobile devices, such as O365, OneDrive for Business, and other related Microsoft Applications.

This role is offered as a hybrid position, with presence required in one of our major hubs such as Alpharetta, Charlotte, Chicago, or New York. This model allows for the perfect balance of focused individual work and high-energy team collaboration. You will participate in architectural review boards, contribute to the company’s mobile center of excellence, and play a key role in the hiring process for future team members. Detect and analyze inconsistencies in internal systems that affect customers and make suggestions for process, implementation, and performance improvements. Provide Mobile Roadmap based on business needs partnered with IT technology.
