Role Overview: Java and React Full Stack Engineering
Metrix IT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java and React Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Temple Terrace, Florida. You will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualizing front-end designs to implementing robust back-end microservices. Key Responsibilities and Technical Execution
- Design and develop sophisticated, interactive user interfaces and single-page applications (SPAs) using React.js and its comprehensive ecosystem, including Redux for state management and React Router for navigation.
- Convert complex UI/UX wireframes and high-fidelity designs into responsive, high-quality code using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first responsiveness.
- Architect and maintain scalable server-side applications and business logic using Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot, focusing on performance and security.
- Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices that facilitate efficient communication between the front-end and back-end systems.
- Develop and optimize database schemas, writing efficient SQL and NoSQL queries while utilizing ORM frameworks like Hibernate or JPA for data persistence.
- Participate in all phases of the Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architectural design, coding, automated testing, and deployment.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Docker to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software updates.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices and performing rigorous peer code reviews to maintain high standards of software quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and quality assurance engineers, to deliver features that meet business objectives and user needs.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively suggesting improvements to our development processes and technology stack.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. We require a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a proven track record of building production-ready applications using React.js and Java. Proficiency in TypeScript is highly preferred, as is experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues across the entire stack. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in our collaborative environment.
