Position Summary
VY Systems Inc is looking for an Expert Java Developer with over 12 years of experience to join our high-performance engineering team. This contract position is based in Alpharetta, GA, and New York, NY, and requires local candidates who can participate in mandatory in-person client interviews. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader capable of designing full-stack architectures and driving performance optimization for large-scale enterprise applications.
Core Technical Stack
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Advanced experience with modern frontend technologies, specifically Angular and React.
- Deep understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Hands-on expertise with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and search engines like ElasticSearch.
- Proficiency in Python for automation or supplemental service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of full-stack architectures for complex enterprise systems.
- Drive performance optimization and scalability initiatives to handle high-volume traffic.
- Implement advanced security protocols and establish robust API governance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing applications.
- Champion DevOps practices, utilizing Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Oversee cloud-native architecture deployments and ensure high availability of services.
Expert Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of professional software development experience.
- Proven track record of leadership in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong ability to mentor junior developers and conduct rigorous code reviews.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex legacy and modern codebases.
Interview Process
Candidates must be local to the Alpharetta, GA or New York, NY areas. The selection process includes a mandatory in-person interview round with the client. Only candidates with the required 12+ years of experience and local residency will be considered for this role.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year
