Role Overview
The .NET Architect role is a pivotal position within our modern technology organization, specifically designed for a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between complex business requirements and high-performance technical solutions. As we move into 2026, the landscape of enterprise software is shifting towards even more modular, cloud-native, and AI-integrated systems. This role requires a deep understanding of the .NET ecosystem, specifically focusing on the transition from .NET 8.0 to the upcoming .NET 9.0 features. You will be tasked with defining the architectural blueprint for scalable applications that serve millions of users. Your expertise in Angular 15+ will be critical in ensuring that our frontend experiences are as robust and responsive as our backend services. We are looking for someone who doesn’t just follow SOLID principles but lives them, ensuring that every line of code is maintainable and testable.
Technical Leadership and Cloud Strategy
The integration of AWS cloud services is a core component of our strategy; therefore, you must have hands-on experience with serverless architectures, container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, and advanced messaging patterns. Beyond technical prowess, this role demands exceptional communication skills. You will be leading distributed teams across multiple time zones, requiring a nuanced approach to onshore and offshore delivery. You will mentor junior and senior developers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and drive the adoption of Clean Architecture across the department. Your ability to evaluate REST APIs versus gRPC for specific use cases and your mastery of threading and parallel programming will be essential for optimizing our high-throughput systems. This is not just a design role; it is a leadership role that requires a hands-on approach to modernization and a relentless pursuit of technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design end-to-end solutions using .NET 8.0/9.0 and Angular 15+.
- Lead the migration strategy from legacy frameworks to modern cloud-native architectures.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Manage the technical debt and ensure the long-term sustainability of the codebase.
- Optimize application performance through advanced threading and parallel programming techniques.
- Design and implement secure RESTful APIs and gRPC services for internal and external consumption.
- Oversee the deployment pipeline using CI/CD tools and container orchestration.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the business.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years in an architectural role.
- Expert-level proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and the latest .NET versions.
- Extensive experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and EKS.
- Proven track record of leading onshore/offshore development teams.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks, specifically Angular 15 or higher.
- Deep knowledge of database design, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in AWS Solutions Architecture.
- Experience with .NET 9.0 preview features.
- Knowledge of machine learning integration within .NET applications.
- Familiarity with financial or healthcare industry standards.
