Position Summary: Oracle Fusion Functional Consultant

GSK Solutions Inc is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Fusion Functional Consultant for a critical 6-month engagement in Newark, NJ. This is a hybrid onsite position requiring local candidates who can provide a consistent physical presence. The successful candidate will bring over 12 years of total experience in Oracle Applications, with a minimum of 4 years specifically focused on Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations. This role is pivotal in optimizing procurement and supply chain operations through the Oracle Fusion suite, requiring a deep understanding of functional configurations and business process alignment.

Detailed Responsibilities and Scope

The consultant will be responsible for the end-to-end functional lifecycle of several Oracle Fusion modules. This includes:

  • Procurement & Sourcing: Implementing and configuring Purchasing, Self-Service Procurement, and Sourcing modules. You will be responsible for setting up Blanket Purchase Agreements, Contract Purchase Agreements, and defining complex sourcing rules to automate procurement workflows.
  • Procurement Contracts: Managing the authoring of contract terms, establishing approval hierarchies, and ensuring compliance through the use of standardized templates and clause libraries.
  • Product Management (Item Master): Taking full ownership of the Item Master setup. This involves defining item attributes, managing item categories, and establishing robust product structures that support downstream supply chain and financial processes.
  • Inventory Management: Configuring inventory organizations, sub-inventories, and transaction types. You will implement stock controls and ensure that inventory movements are accurately reflected in the system.
  • Costing: Setting up cost organizations and cost books. You will define cost elements and cost components to ensure accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting. This includes managing periodic cost distributions and reconciling inventory to the General Ledger.
  • Business Process Alignment: Conducting workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, performing detailed gap analysis, and proposing “to-be” processes that leverage Oracle Fusion best practices.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Leading the functional effort during SIT and UAT. You will create test scripts, manage defect resolution, and ensure that the system meets all business requirements before go-live.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Utilizing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and BI Publisher to create custom reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into procurement and inventory performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Oracle ERP systems, demonstrating a steady career progression into senior functional roles.
  • At least 4 years of dedicated experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud (SaaS) environments.
  • Successful completion of at least 2-3 full-lifecycle Oracle Fusion implementations, preferably in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle and its integration points with Oracle Financials (Accounts Payable and General Ledger).
  • Strong functional understanding of Oracle AME for configuring complex approval workflows.
  • Experience with FBDI (File-Based Data Import) and ADFDI for data migration and mass data updates.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model in Newark, NJ, and participate in in-person or webcam-based interviews.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
