Role Overview
Hallmark Global Technologies is seeking a highly specialized Oracle HCM Security Controls Consultant for a critical project based in Sunnyvale, California. This role is designed for a technical expert who possesses a profound understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud security architecture and access management features. As organizations increasingly migrate sensitive human resources data to the cloud, the necessity for robust security controls, role-based access (RBAC), and rigorous data privacy measures has never been higher. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Oracle HCM environment is not only functional but also secure against unauthorized access while maintaining compliance with global data protection standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage complex security roles and responsibilities within the Oracle HCM Cloud ecosystem.
- Develop a deep understanding of different security profiles and how they interact with organizational hierarchies.
- Create and modify data security policies and Areas of Responsibility (AORs) to ensure precise data visibility.
- Utilize EL (Expression Language) expressions to apply dynamic security logic across various HCM modules.
- Manage user roles and perform regular audits to ensure the principle of least privilege is maintained.
- Assess the impact of quarterly Oracle updates and new features on existing security configurations and customizations.
- Conduct thorough SITUAT (System Integration and User Acceptance Testing) in non-production environments to ensure seamless transitions during upgrades.
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders and IT teams to define role descriptions and associated privileges.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex security issues and access discrepancies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of security designs, policies, and procedures.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT security, with at least 5 years dedicated specifically to Oracle HCM Cloud Security. You must demonstrate a strong analytical mindset and the ability to solve intricate problems related to access management. Proficiency in configuring security roles, understanding the nuances of data security policies, and the ability to write and debug EL expressions are mandatory. Excellent communication skills are required to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. Experience in high-tech environments, particularly in the Silicon Valley market, is highly preferred. Candidates should be familiar with the latest Oracle HCM Cloud releases and have a proven track record of managing security through multiple upgrade cycles. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is expected, along with relevant Oracle certifications.
