Position Summary

GAC Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Product Manager to join our client’s Merchant Services team in New York. This hybrid role focuses on eCommerce Payments Products and Solutions, requiring a visionary leader who can navigate the intersection of technology, finance, and customer experience. You will own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring that our payment solutions remain competitive in the rapidly evolving fintech landscape of 2026. As the voice of the customer, you will be responsible for designing products that not only meet functional requirements but also provide a superior user experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy for eCommerce payment processing, focusing on scalability and user friction reduction.
  • Manage the end-to-end product backlog using Jira, prioritizing features based on ROI, customer feedback, and strategic alignment.
  • Lead cross-functional squads in an Agile environment, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct deep-market analysis to identify emerging trends in digital wallets, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), and cross-border payments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to build intuitive merchant dashboards and seamless checkout experiences.
  • Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as authorization rates, churn, and transaction volume growth.
  • Navigate complex regulatory environments, ensuring all products comply with PCI-DSS and local financial regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, including payment networks (Visa/Mastercard) and fintech vendors.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years in Product Management, with at least 6 years specifically within the Payments or Fintech domain.
  • Expertise in merchant acquiring, payment gateways, and the mechanics of the four-party payment model.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools and SQL.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders in a matrixed organization, balancing competing priorities effectively.
  • Experience with modern software development lifecycles (SDLC) and cloud-native product architectures.

Market Dynamics and Innovation

In the 2026 payments landscape, staying ahead requires a deep understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi) integrations and real-time payment rails. You will be expected to explore how these technologies can be leveraged to provide faster settlement times and lower costs for merchants. Your role involves constant experimentation and A/B testing to optimize conversion funnels and reduce cart abandonment through better payment orchestration.

Customer-Centric Design

You will champion the needs of both the merchant and the end-consumer. This involves conducting user interviews, analyzing session recordings, and working closely with UX designers to create frictionless payment flows. Whether it is optimizing mobile SDKs or enhancing web checkout experiences, your goal is to ensure that every transaction is secure, fast, and reliable. You will also be responsible for developing training materials and success stories to help the sales team effectively communicate the value of our products.

Hybrid work mode in NY; Domain: eCommerce Payments; 8+ years PM experience required; 6+ years Payments domain experience required; MBA preferred.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
