Job Description: Product Owner (Payments Ecosystem & Market Expansion)

We are seeking a strategic Product Owner with deep expertise in the Payments Ecosystem to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of financial products for FIS. This is a 100% remote position, requiring candidates to work CST or EST hours. This is not a back-office execution role; it is a high-visibility position focused on Go-To-Market (GTM) planning, product expansion into adjacent markets, and driving client migrations. You will act as the bridge between sales, technology, and operations, ensuring that new payment capabilities are profitable, scalable, and seamlessly integrated for financial institutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record as a Product Owner within Financial Services or Payments.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the Payment Ecosystem (Card networks, ACH, Real-time payments, etc.).
  • Strategic Growth: Prior experience successfully expanding products into new markets or adding adjacent technical capabilities.
  • Business Skills: Expert in profitability analysis, forecasting, and stakeholder management across functions.
  • Execution: Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously with a high degree of accountability.

Role Overview:

The Product Owner will be responsible for leading the product strategy and roadmap, identifying high-growth opportunities in adjacent payment markets or capabilities. This includes leading planning for new solutions, such as pricing models, sales enablement, and market entry positioning. The role also involves serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during complex deal executions and client prospecting discussions.

Technical Core & Responsibilities:

  • GTM Strategy & Market Expansion:
    • Lifecycle Ownership: Own the product strategy and roadmap, identifying high-growth opportunities in adjacent payment markets or capabilities.
    • Go-To-Market Execution: Lead planning for new solutions, including pricing models, sales enablement, and market entry positioning.
    • Sales Support: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during complex deal executions and client prospecting discussions.
  • Product Delivery & Implementation:
    • Client Migrations: Drive high-stakes client migrations and integrations, partnering closely with technical vendors and internal operations.
    • Agile Requirements: Partner cross-functionally to define requirements, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure total release readiness.
    • Vendor Management: Maintain and influence third-party partnerships to support product innovation and delivery.
  • Business Acumen & KPIs:
    • Profitability Management: Monitor financial performance, forecasting, and value realization for the product suite.
    • Health Metrics: Define and track KPIs focused on fraud outcomes, adoption rates, and overall solution health.

This is a critical role for driving innovation and growth within FIS’s payments division. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong understanding of the payments landscape and a passion for delivering exceptional product experiences.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
