Job Title: PSA Engineer – SCADA
We are looking for a PSA Engineer with experience in SCADA/EMS systems to support power system operations and applications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in real-time monitoring, SCADA configurations, and power system analysis, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain SCADA/EMS systems for monitoring and control of power systems.
- Work on Power System Applications (PSA) such as Load Flow, State Estimation, and Contingency Analysis.
- Assist in SCADA configuration, database updates, and system enhancements.
- Integrate and support communication with RTUs, IEDs, and field devices.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot SCADA/EMS issues.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and vendors.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and compliance standards (NERC CIP preferred).
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Having experience in SCADA/EMS and Power System Applications (PSA).
- Hands-on experience with SCADA tools/platforms (e.g., GE, Siemens, ABB, Schneider).
- Good understanding of: State Estimation, Load Flow Analysis, Contingency Analysis.
- Experience with SCADA communication protocols (ICCP/TASE.2, DNP3, Modbus).
- Basic knowledge of power systems and grid operations.
- Experience with SQL/relational databases.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix or Windows environments.
- Exposure to scripting (Python/Shell) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in utility, energy, or power sector.
- Understanding of NERC CIP standards.
- Experience supporting production SCADA environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

This is a remote position with a duration of 6+ months. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and can work effectively in a distributed team environment. Any visa status is acceptable.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
