Position Summary
We are looking for a specialized RPA and Robotics Engineer with a focus on Automation Anywhere and industrial robotics to join our operations in Houston, TX. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of software automation and physical robotics within the Oil & Gas sector. You will be responsible for designing and developing robotic systems tailored for drilling and pipe-handling applications, ensuring that automation enhances safety and efficiency in high-stakes environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop robotic systems specifically for oil & gas drilling and pipe-handling applications.
- Integrate advanced sensors and control systems to enable autonomous drilling, manipulation, and data acquisition.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to prototype and test robotic control solutions.
- Develop software for real-time control, telemetry, and remote operation of robotic platforms.
- Conduct rigorous field trials and validation tests in both simulated and live oil & gas environments.
- Ensure all robotic systems comply with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Analyze performance data to optimize systems for maximum reliability and efficiency.
- Document all engineering processes, test results, and system configurations for future reference and compliance.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on working knowledge of Actin and Energid robotic control software.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, C++, and ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Strong understanding of control systems, kinematics, and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with specialized sensors used in oil & gas (ultrasonic, inductive proximity, LiDAR, pressure).
- Hands-on knowledge of ROS Industrial 2.0, RViz, and MoveIt.
- Ability to work in demanding field conditions and travel to remote sites as required.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
