Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Technical Business Analyst for a critical 12-month contract role in New York City. This position is hybrid, requiring three days per week on-site at our Wall Street location. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience, specifically within the Capital Markets sector, including asset management, private equity, or hedge funds. This role is not just about gathering requirements; it requires a deep technical understanding of the Salesforce platform to troubleshoot issues, understand Apex logic, and design scalable solutions that meet the rigorous demands of the financial industry.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Fundraising and Investor Relations stakeholders and the technical development team.
  • Gather, document, and refine detailed business and functional requirements for complex Salesforce projects.
  • Translate high-level business needs into technical specifications, collaborating closely with architects and developers to ensure feasibility.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and support for Salesforce production issues, focusing on pipeline and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Analyze existing Salesforce configurations, including Apex code, Flows, and automation logic, to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive user stories, process flow diagrams, and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) within an Agile framework.
  • Ensure all Salesforce solutions meet stringent operational and regulatory requirements inherent in the financial services industry.
  • Drive data integrity initiatives and support investor onboarding workflows through CRM enhancements tied to fundraising activities.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and participate in strategic release planning sessions.
  • Provide continuous improvement recommendations to enhance platform stability and the overall user experience for the investment team.

Required Technical Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant portion dedicated to the Salesforce platform.
  • Deep domain expertise in Capital Markets (Asset Management, Private Equity, or Hedge Funds). Retail or commercial banking experience is not applicable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including the ability to understand and critique Apex concepts and complex Flows.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex workflow issues within a production Salesforce environment.
  • Experience working in highly regulated financial environments with a focus on data governance and process controls.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models and the ability to lead stakeholder workshops and design sessions.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $180,000 – $240,000 per year (Estimated)
