Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with expertise in Application Managed Services (AMS) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to join our team. This role is crucial for supporting and enhancing our SAP landscape, particularly focusing on warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP implementations, rollouts, and ongoing support, with a significant portion of their experience dedicated to S/4 HANA EWM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level business process consulting, offering insights into SAP best practices for EWM and related modules.
- Manage and coordinate the incident management process, ensuring timely assignment, analysis, resolution, and notification to business users.
- Offer direct support to business users, addressing their queries and issues related to SAP EWM.
- Conduct requirement analysis, solution design, system setup/configuration, and testing within SAP EWM.
- Define integration points between SAP EWM and other functional areas, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Specify data requirements and reporting needs for business processes managed within SAP EWM.
- Identify and propose necessary enhancements within the standard SAP application.
- Configure SAP EWM to facilitate Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrate solutions to business users.
- Perform extensive analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of SAP EWM solutions.
- Develop functional specification design documents for system enhancements.
- Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams, collect metrics, and provide periodic reports.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in SAP implementations, Rollouts, and Application Managed Services (AMS).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in S/4 HANA EWM, including at least one full-cycle EWM implementation.
- Hands-on experience in EWM design and configuration.
- 2+ years of experience in Application Managed Services (AMS).
- Experience working within the Manufacturing industry, with Automotive OEM exposure being a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in EWM functionalities including:
- Centralized and Decentralized Warehouse Management
- Inbound, Outbound, Kitting, and Internal Warehouse processes
- Value-Added Services (VAS), Wave Management, Physical Inventory, and Posting Changes
- Warehouse order creation rules
- RF integration and RF queue management
- Development of custom EWM RF transactions and other RICEF objects (in collaboration with ABAP team)
- EWM Data Migration and cutover activities
- Configuration of Process-Oriented Storage Control (POSC) and Layout Oriented Storage Control (LOSC)
- Warehouse Task (WT) Determination
- Direct goods receipt and deconsolidation, good issue process, put away and picking strategies
- Batch Management
- Configuration and modification of Post Processing Framework (PPF) in SAP EWM
- Creation of Master Data (Packaging Specifications, Warehouse Organizational Structure, Handling Units)
- Labor Management, Cartonization Planning, Transportation Unit, Slotting and Re-arrangement, and Yard Management
- Demonstrated understanding of EWM table structures.
- Hands-on experience in analyzing incidents, resolving issues, and providing business user support.
- Good knowledge of SAP Purchase modules is a plus.
