Job Overview
This role is for a SAP Functional Consultant with a focus on S/4 HANA implementation and data migration for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects. The consultant will be part of the Global Process Lead (GPL) team, specifically concentrating on the Procure-to-Pay (PTP) master data migration from legacy ERP systems to S/4 HANA. Ensuring compliance with governance policies and supporting procurement and supply chain processes are key aspects of this position. The role is a 6-month contract assignment, requiring the candidate to be local to North Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the S/4 HANA implementation and the migration of PTP objects from existing legacy ERP systems.
- Define, manage, and ensure the quality of master data, including transformation, mapping, and validation rules, while strictly adhering to SOX and GxP compliance standards.
- Actively participate in data migration activities, encompassing extraction, transformation, validation, de-duplication, and reconciliation processes.
- Utilize the S4 LTMC tool for the efficient migration of procurement and master data objects.
- Prepare and generate load-ready files for various PTP master data elements, such as Vendors, Purchasing Info Records (PIR), Source Lists, Quality Info Records (QIR), Purchase Requisitions, Outline Agreements, and Purchase Orders.
- Validate pre-load and post-load reports to confirm adherence to master data governance rules and policies.
- Conduct thorough data reviews with site contacts and maintain multiple checkpoints to guarantee the highest data quality.
- Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (URT) scripts in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Provide essential cutover, controlled release, and go-live support, including participation in remote war room activities.
- Identify potential process gaps across different operating models and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Vendor Management, and Material Master teams.
- Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to aligning business processes with global templates.
Required Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in SAP Direct Procurement, SAP SRM/Indirect Procurement, and Supply Chain Management.
- Demonstrated strong experience with SAP S/4 HANA and specifically with procurement data migration projects.
- Proven expertise in SAP ERP data migration methodologies and governance processes.
- Hands-on experience with integrated testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-user training.
- Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Cross-functional exposure to SAP modules such as Production Planning/Industrial Production (PP/PI), Quality Management (QM), and Supply Chain Execution (SCE).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
