Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Developer for a critical 6-month contract engagement in Santa Clara, California. This hybrid role requires a professional with a deep understanding of supply chain planning and advanced SAP planning tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust IBP solutions that integrate seamlessly with S4/HANA and various third-party legacy systems. As a senior consultant, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that the supply chain planning processes are optimized for efficiency and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the functional configuration and technical design of SAP IBP modules to support demand planning, supply and response, and inventory optimization.
- Develop and maintain complex data integration flows using SAP Cloud Platform Integration for Data Services (CPIDS), Smart Data Integration (SDI), and Real-Time Integration (RTI).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map business processes to SAP IBP capabilities, identifying gaps and proposing innovative workarounds or enhancements.
- Perform end-to-end testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system integrity.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for data interface issues between S4/HANA and IBP.
- Document technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and user manuals to facilitate knowledge transfer and system maintenance.
- Advise stakeholders on best practices for supply chain digital transformation and the roadmap for SAP IBP adoption.
Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated SAP consulting experience specifically within the Supply Chain Planning domain.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) across multiple versions.
- Proven track record of integrating SAP IBP with S4/HANA using modern middleware and integration protocols.
- Deep technical proficiency in CPIDS, SDI, and RTI for high-volume data synchronization.
- Total professional experience of 8-10 years in the IT and Software development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of supply chain business processes, including Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Demand Management, and Supply Planning.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
