Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned and dedicated Scrum Master to join our team in Oaks, PA, on a hybrid basis. With at least 6 years of proven expertise in leading IT software development projects, the ideal candidate will be a champion of Agile methodologies and a servant leader for our development teams. You will be responsible for fostering an environment of continuous improvement, ensuring that our teams are empowered to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our business goals. This role requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of modern software delivery while maintaining a focus on team health and productivity.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor multiple Scrum teams, guiding them through the complexities of software development while maintaining a focus on quality and speed.
- Facilitate all essential Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.
- Proactively identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress, while also managing and resolving internal conflicts to maintain a positive team dynamic.
- Partner closely with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritized product backlog and ensure user stories are well-defined and ready for development.
- Utilize Agile metrics to track team performance and provide transparency to stakeholders and leadership regarding project status, velocity, and quality.
- Promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and shared responsibility within cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and business analysts.
- Adapt Agile practices to fit the specific needs of the organization while staying true to core Agile principles and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement by assessing team performance and implementing Agile best practices across the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of dedicated experience as a Scrum Master within an IT software development context.
- Deep expertise in Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban; experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Strong proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Rally.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Relevant Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Work Environment and Culture
This role requires a hybrid presence in Oaks, PA, with three days per week spent onsite to facilitate face-to-face collaboration and team building. Compensation & Location
Salary: $125,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
