Position Summary
Brillius is looking for a Senior Android Developer to join a high-impact team in Owings Mills, MD. This role is centered on developing sophisticated mobile applications for the financial services industry, where security, performance, and user experience are paramount. As a Lead Developer, you will collaborate closely with internal customer teams to design, modify, and enhance mobile solutions that serve millions of users. This is an onsite position that requires a blend of deep technical expertise in Android development and the leadership skills necessary to guide cross-functional programs through complex technical challenges.
Core Technical Skills
- Extensive experience in Digital Mobile Computing with a specific focus on the Android platform.
- Advanced proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices, especially within the financial sector.
Leadership and Strategy
- Act as a lead developer, providing input into architectural and design decisions.
- Provide realistic estimates for development efforts and manage project timelines effectively.
- Mentor and lead other developers, enabling them to work independently and grow their technical skills.
- Contribute to comprehensive code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality.
- Lead discussions to drive tactical versus strategic decisions, clearly outlining the trade-offs of each approach.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, DevOps, and enterprise security teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $150,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
