Job Title: Senior Solution Architect – API & Kong Platform
Location: Atlanta, GA
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in API & Integration Architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kong Konnect & Kong Gateway architecture.
- Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform), including VPC and load balancing.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with GKE / Kubernetes.
- Shell scripting skills.
- Experience with Apigee.
- Experience with decK, declarative configuration, workspaces, and RBAC.
- Experience with API gateway implementations (minimum 2 enterprise-level programs).
Deep Understanding Required:
- API security: mTLS, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, API keys.
- Rate limiting, WAF, secrets & certificate management.
Strong Knowledge Required:
- Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
- Observability tools (logging, monitoring, audit compliance).
- CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows.
This is a critical role for a Senior Solution Architect with extensive experience in API and Integration Architecture, specifically focusing on Kong Platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform, along with deep knowledge of API security and management. Responsibilities include designing and implementing robust API gateway solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and observability. Experience with Apigee and CI/CD practices is also highly valued.
