Position Summary
Digital Dhara is seeking a strategic and technically elite Senior Solutions Architect specializing in Salesforce CPQ to join our team in Palo Alto. This role is designed for a visionary architect who can navigate the complexities of Quote-to-Cash (QTC) cycles, with a specific emphasis on Usage-Based Pricing (UBP) and consumption-driven revenue models. You will serve as the primary technical authority, bridging the gap between high-level business strategy and robust technical execution within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Core Architectural Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architectural design of Salesforce CPQ solutions, including product bundles, features, options, and advanced pricing logic.
- Architect and implement data models specifically tailored for usage-based pricing, ensuring seamless integration of external usage data.
- Define and enforce technical governance and best practices for system architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Oversee the integration between Salesforce CPQ/Billing and downstream ERP systems like NetSuite or SAP to facilitate accurate revenue recognition.
- Design complex output document generation workflows and advanced approval processes.
Technical Leadership and Implementation
- Implement Salesforce Billing packages, focusing on usage mediation, rating engines, and automated invoicing.
- Utilize expert knowledge of CPQ Plugins (Quote Calculator Plugin – QCP) and Price Rules to solve complex business requirements.
- Balance declarative configuration with programmatic customization (Apex, Lightning Web Components) to deliver optimal solutions.
- Lead technical workshops and provide high-level mentorship to developers and administrators.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations, Finance, and Product teams to translate pricing strategies into technical specifications.
Strategic Impact and KPIs
- Ensure solution scalability to handle high volumes of usage data without performance degradation.
- Drive accuracy in the ‘quote-to-order’ process, significantly reducing manual billing adjustments.
- Accelerate time-to-market for new pricing models and product bundles through agile delivery.
- Provide insights into SaaS financial metrics such as ARR, MRR, and Churn as they relate to consumption models.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in the Salesforce ecosystem with at least 3 years dedicated to Salesforce CPQ.
- Proven track record of implementing UBP models and consumption schedules.
- Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist credential is mandatory.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical complexities to non-technical stakeholders.
Special Requirements
Local resources only. No visa restrictions. Hybrid work model requiring 3 days per week in the Palo Alto office.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $195,000 – $265,000 per year (Estimated)
