Position Summary
We are looking for an exceptionally experienced ServiceNow Developer with a minimum of 15 years in the IT industry to join our team for a high-impact remote project. This role is centered in Edison, NJ, but offers full remote flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the technical roadmap of our ServiceNow platform, with a heavy emphasis on integrating cutting-edge AI technologies. We are seeking a visionary developer who can not only execute technical tasks but also provide strategic guidance on platform architecture and innovation.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and develop end-to-end solutions within the ServiceNow platform, covering ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and HRSD modules.
- Lead the implementation of AI-driven features using ServiceNow NowAssist and Generative AI tools.
- Design and build Agentic AI flows and custom agents to automate complex business workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage and optimize the CMDB and Discovery processes, ensuring accurate asset tracking and a scalable data architecture.
- Create detailed technical architecture diagrams and solution designs for review and approval by senior leadership.
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate functional requirements into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain complex integrations using ServiceNow mid-servers and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to offshore development teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest ServiceNow releases and features, recommending platform upgrades and enhancements where appropriate.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the ServiceNow platform through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices.
Technical Expertise
- 15+ years of professional experience in software development and IT service management.
- Deep technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), business rules, and UI policies.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities, specifically NowAssist and Gen AI integration.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping) and ITAM modules.
- Strong understanding of ITIL v4 frameworks and their application within ServiceNow.
- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Proficiency in managing onsite-offshore delivery models and leading cross-functional teams.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications are highly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and present to clients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Special Requirements
15+ years experience; Remote; Focus on Gen AI and Agentic AI; Onsite-offshore model management.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year
