Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Technical Architect for a long-term contract position based in Santa Clara, CA. This senior-level role is critical for defining, governing, and optimizing the overall technical architecture of the ServiceNow platform within a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep platform expertise, strong technical leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of designing scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that align with complex business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Architecture & Performance: Design high-quality, scalable platform components and ensure optimal performance through efficient data, transaction, and workflow design. You will guide technical decisions with a focus on reliability and long-term maintainability.
- Integration Strategy: Lead the integration architecture across various enterprise systems, focusing on reliability, error-handling, and data consistency. You will build solutions capable of supporting high-volume, enterprise-grade data exchange.
- Security & Compliance: Define robust security models that go beyond basic Access Control Lists (ACLs). Ensure full compliance with enterprise security frameworks and proactively identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Technical Governance & Leadership: Act as the primary technical authority on the ServiceNow platform. Establish development standards, conduct rigorous design reviews, and mentor senior developers to ensure best practices are followed.
- Strategic Decision Making: Drive platform decisions based on measurable performance metrics and architectural best practices to support the organization’s digital transformation goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in Information Technology.
- At least 10 years of deep technical expertise specifically within the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong background in integrations, platform internals, and security architecture.
- Advanced ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Technical Architect or Certified Application Developer) are highly preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership or architectural role for large-scale ServiceNow implementations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Work Environment and Constraints
This is an onsite position in Santa Clara, CA. Candidates must be local to the California area. The role requires a high degree of collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Due to the nature of the project, only United States Citizens or Green Card holders (born before 1987) will be considered for this engagement.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $245,000 per year (Estimated)
