Role Overview

Thunderhawk Technology Partners is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Support Engineer to join a global operations team for a critical 6-month contract engagement. This position is based onsite in Seattle, WA, and requires a professional with deep technical expertise in SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary point of escalation for complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of enterprise-level collaboration platforms.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and the Power Platform.
  • Manage and resolve high-priority incidents and service requests within established SLAs.
  • Perform comprehensive SharePoint administration, including site collection provisioning, web part design, and tenant-level configuration.
  • Oversee permissions and compliance management at the tenant, site, and item levels to ensure data security.
  • Troubleshoot complex synchronization issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks across the M365 suite.
  • Administer OneDrive for Business, including retention policies, backup/recovery, and large file upload troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate flows integrated with SharePoint environments.
  • Utilize Azure AD and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center for identity management and service health monitoring.
  • Adhere strictly to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management to maintain operational excellence.
  • Act as a mentor and escalation point for junior support staff, contributing to the overall knowledge base of the team.

Technical Requirements

The successful candidate must demonstrate a mastery of SharePoint architecture and administration. This includes a deep understanding of SharePoint 2016 on-premises and SharePoint Online hybrid configurations. Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing large-scale site collections and navigating the complexities of Microsoft 365 governance. Experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for managing user identities and group-based permissions is essential. Furthermore, familiarity with the Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) is required to support modern business process automation within the SharePoint environment.

Professional Qualifications

Applicants should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose root causes in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication skills are vital, as this role involves interacting with global stakeholders and technical teams. The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment is a must. Candidates must be local to the Washington area or willing to relocate immediately for this onsite requirement.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $112,320 – $112,320 per year

Location: Seattle, WA
