Project Overview

We are looking for a Senior SharePoint Online and Power Platform Developer for a critical 5-month engagement in Austin, Texas. This role is hybrid and requires a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience, specifically within State Government environments. The project involves a significant digital transformation effort, including the migration of content from Drupal to SharePoint Online and the automation of legacy business processes using the Microsoft Power Platform.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate flows and Power BI dashboards, to enhance organizational productivity.
  • Lead the conversion of existing PDF forms into modern Microsoft Forms, ensuring rigorous testing and user-friendly design.
  • Integrate Microsoft Forms with Power Automate to create automated approval routings and seamless data flow into SharePoint lists and Outlook.
  • Plan and execute the architecture of a SharePoint Online intranet, including the implementation of HUB sites that align with strategic objectives.
  • Manage the migration of complex content, including documents and forms, from Drupal (Version 10.6.2+) to the SharePoint Online environment.
  • Administer SharePoint site collections, configuring permissions, libraries, and security settings according to industry best practices.
  • Provide high-level technical support by diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to M365 services.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide training to end-users to ensure long-term adoption of the new systems.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SharePoint Online administration and development, particularly in enterprise-level environments.
  • Proven ability to manage custom workflows, data integration, and complex list structures.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS for SharePoint design and customization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical requirements and business needs.
  • Experience with content governance and supporting a large, diverse user base.

State Government Context

This position requires a deep understanding of the regulatory and security standards inherent in State Government operations. Candidates must have a proven track record of delivering solutions that meet these specific compliance requirements. Local candidates in the Austin area are highly preferred due to the hybrid nature of the role and the need for occasional on-site collaboration with stakeholders.


Special Requirements

Domain Restriction: Must have State Government experience. Local candidates preferred. Hybrid work model. Experience with Drupal migration is a plus.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $140,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Austin, TX
