Job Description
We are seeking experienced Solutions/Cloud Architects with a strong background in designing and supporting large-scale healthcare or government IT systems, preferably Medicaid or MES modules. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), architectural modeling, data management, and security best practices. Experience with MITA framework and federal interoperability requirements is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support large scale healthcare or government IT systems, preferably Medicaid or MES modules.
- Develop architectural models and ensure adherence to security best practices.
- Manage data management concepts and ensure efficient data handling.
- Work with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or equivalent.
- Understand and apply the MITA framework and federal interoperability requirements.
- Utilize emerging and traditional technologies including Node.js, Java, Angular, React, Python, REST, JSON, XML, X12, FHIR, HTML5.
- Work with databases, ETL tools, relational databases, SharePoint, X12, and legacy programming.
- Prior experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) or Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) is a plus.
- Obtain relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure Architect, or equivalent.
- Leverage experience in state government, public sector consulting, or large enterprise architecture roles.
Required Qualifications
- 13+ years of experience required.
- Proficiency in architectural modeling, data management concepts, and security best practices – Required 10 Years.
- Considerable experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or equivalent) – Required 10 Years.
- Strong understanding of MITA framework and federal interoperability requirements – Highly desired 10 Years.
- Considerable knowledge of emerging and traditional technologies such as: Node.js, Java, Angular, React, Python, REST, JSON, XML, X12, FHIR, HTML5 – Highly desired 10 Years.
- Considerable knowledge of databases, ETL tools, relational databases, SharePoint, X12, and legacy programming – Highly desired 10 Years.

- Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure Architect, or equivalent – Highly desired 8 Years.
- Experience in state government, public sector consulting, or large enterprise architecture roles – Nice to have 8 Years.
Special Requirements
Locals to Virginia/DC/MD required. Experience with State/Federal clients preferred. Hybrid.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
