Position Summary: Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (Data Services Focus)
Adbakx and Flexon Technologies are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with a specialized focus on Azure Data Services for a long-term engagement in Tampa, FL. This is a high-impact role that requires a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset and extensive experience in managing large-scale, data-intensive deployments. Unlike general cloud DevOps roles, this position is deeply integrated with big data infrastructure and machine learning pipelines. The successful candidate will work in a high-touch, collaborative environment where active participation and technical excellence are paramount.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated deployment strategies for large-scale data lakes and data-intensive applications within the Azure ecosystem.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, and Artifacts).
- Configure and scale Azure Data Services, including Databricks, Synapse, and Azure SQL, to ensure high availability and peak performance.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and manage complex machine learning pipelines and big data infrastructure.
- Implement robust configuration management and source code version control systems.
- Monitor system health and performance, applying SRE principles to ensure platform stability and reliability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical modernization.
Technical Requirements and Experience
- Minimum of 13 years of professional experience in IT, with at least 6 years focused on enterprise-scale software solutions.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Data Factory.
- Proficiency in Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and Azure Machine Learning Services.
- Strong scripting and programming skills in Python and PowerShell.
- Proven track record of building CI/CD pipelines specifically for data-centric workloads.
- Experience working in high-collaboration environments with a “camera-on” culture.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-305) are highly preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
