Job Description Summary

An Informatica Administrator with banking domain experience is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing Informatica platforms (PowerCenter, BDM, IDQ, MDM) in compliance with strict financial regulations, ensuring smooth data integration and high availability across critical banking systems.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Informatica PowerCenter, BDM, and IDQ on Linux/Unix environments.
  • Manage repository services, integration services, and domain configurations.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.

Data Integration & Security

  • Support ETL workflows for large-scale banking data movement.
  • Implement strong data security and compliance controls aligned with RBI and global banking standards.
  • Ensure encryption, access control, and audit logging for sensitive financial data.

Operational Support

  • Provide end-to-end support across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Work closely with DBAs, application developers, and business analysts to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Automate routine tasks such as backup, recovery, and performance tuning.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Maintain adherence to banking regulations (Basel III, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal/external security policies.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter, BDM, IDQ, and MDM.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2 databases.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting for automation.

Banking Domain Knowledge

  • Understanding of core banking systems, payment gateways, and risk management processes.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks in financial institutions.
