Position Summary: Regional Survey Leader

We are looking for a visionary Survey Project Manager and Regional Leader to spearhead our land surveying operations in the Richmond and Charlottesville, Virginia areas. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role within an employee-owned firm that values innovation, sustainability, and professional growth. You will be the primary authority for land surveying, overseeing large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion while mentoring a dedicated team of professionals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Project Management: You will develop comprehensive scopes of work, manage intricate schedules, and ensure the technical accuracy of all surveying deliverables. Your expertise will guide the team through diverse project complexities, ensuring client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
  • Business Development & Client Relations: As the face of the region, you will cultivate new client relationships and maintain existing ones. You will lead the preparation of proposals and actively network within the architectural and engineering industries to drive regional growth.
  • Team Mentorship: A significant portion of this role involves the professional development of staff. You will provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Technical Oversight: You will ensure that all projects utilize state-of-the-art resources and adhere to the highest standards of Geomatics and Land Surveying.

Mandatory Qualifications

To be considered for this elite opportunity, candidates must possess a current and active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Land Surveying and Geomatics is required, with at least 2 years of experience specifically as a licensed professional. Proficiency in MS Office and CAD is essential, while experience with Civil 3D or MicroStation is highly desirable. Compensation & Location

Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Richmond, VA
